Zim Referee Confirms US$10,000 Bribe Offer To Fix CAF Match
The Zimbabwe Football Association has confirmed that one of its referees, Norman Matemera, reported a $10,000 bribe offer to fix a CAF Confederation Cup match in Equatorial Guinea.
The latest revelation comes following the draw for the group phase of the African Confederation Cup at the weekend, and just two weeks after South Africa referee Victor Gomes reported a bribe offer of $30,000 to fix a game in Nigeria.
The incidents are now under investigation by CAF.
