Ministry Of Defence Signs Landmark Deal To Build 5,000km Of Road Across Zambia

The Zambian Ministry of Defence has signed a landmark deal with the US company Landlock Natural Paving to build 5,000 km of road across all 10 provinces of Zambia.

The construction of the road is set to commence early next year following a thorough planning stage.

Following the signing of the deal, U.S. Ambassador to Zambia Michael Gonzales stated, “We are incredibly humbled by the warm reception of our Zambian partners and their enthusiasm for our road building technology. We anticipate an aggressive development plan with a significant investment in supply chain management, training, and certification.”

The benefits of enhancing the connection between Zambian provinces will be felt both economically and socially, promoting greater integration across the country.

The project is another positive step taken by the New Dawn government to harness international relations with the US in order to drive economic growth and development.

Landlock Natural Paving offers a sustainable alternative to road building that aims to reduce environmental waste associated with traditional road construction.
