President Hichilema Guarantees Benefits to People of Masaiti Near Lusaka-Ndola Dual Carriageway

President Hakainde Hichilema has reassured the people of Masaiti district that they will benefit from the construction of the Lusaka-Ndola dual carriageway.

Employment priority will be given to Masaiti residents when the construction project begins, with the aim of ensuring local people benefit from the project. President Hichilema encouraged those who do become employed on the project to embrace the opportunity and work hard.

The President added that feeder roads will be developed in Lambaland to improve transport routes for farm produce. He also revealed that the Masaiti district will receive its farming inputs early, before the onset of rains.

President Hichilema thanked Masaiti residents for voting for him in his successful run for President in 2021. He said that his UPND government would continue to work hard for the people, and that his cabinet was listening to the people and would address the concerns they voiced.

After visiting Masaiti, Mr. Hichilema dubbed 2023 the ‘grassroots year’, and said he would continue to visit local communities to know firsthand how to help the people of Zambia.
