Zambians Travelling To Brazil Must Undergo Covid Test
The Brazilian government has declared that all Zambians wishing to travel to the country must test negative for the coronavirus within 72 hours of departing.
According to documents shared with the Zambian Embassy in Brasilia, travellers must present authorities with a negative test certificate from a government recognised health facility, written in either Portuguese, Spanish or English.
Children under 12 are exempt from testing, provided that their fellow travellers test negative. Travellers making connections or layovers are required to be tested within 72 hours of their first flight.
Zambia’s ambassador to Brazil, Alfreda Mwamba, has urged Zambians travelling to the country to adhere strictly to government regulations. She has instructed Zambians to fill out a Declaration of Traveller’s Health (DSV) form before boarding a flight and has urged the government to make Covid-19 test widely available.
