Man on the Run After Killing Son

Ernest Chipema, 50, is on the run after having beaten his own son to death over the theft of money. Both men are of the Akeni area Kalulushi.

Peacewell Mweemba, Copperbelt Province Police Commanding Officer, named the deceased as Chizhika Chipema and confirmed that the son was beaten up and then rushed to the hospital.

The dispute broke out over the theft of K200 from the house on Sunday 18th December. However, the location of the K200 is yet to be confirmed.

The child was rushed to the hospital with significant head wounds but later died.

The crime was reported to the police by Gertrude Nambela, mother of Chizhika after the father fled the scene.

No arrest has yet been made, the body awaits post mortum.
