The Zambian Police's Reaction To Torture Allegations Is Unacceptable-Fred M'membe

The Zambian Socialist Party's president, Fred M'membe, has stated that Zambia Police's response to what he characterised as "extremely serious allegations of torturing former president Mr. Edgar Lungu's barber, Mr. Shabby Chilekwa," raises major concerns and is unacceptable.

Dr. M'membe stated on his Facebook page that if the treatment meted out to Mr. Shabby Chilekwa isn't wicked, then evil has no meaning.

Dr. M'membe stated that the Human Rights Commission has yet to provide a statement on this extremely important and urgent topic, and that if they are not cautious, this government would soon be caught in the bitter politics of impunity.
