Education Minister endorses Annie Sikwibele

Education Minister, Douglas Siakalima, has endorsed Professor Annie Sikwibele as Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Zambia.

She has also recommended Professor Boniface Namangala as Deputy Vice-Chancellor.

The news comes after Professor Luke Mumba and his Deputy were removed from office.

 


2.47 million Zambians vaccinated against COVID-19

2,479,135 Zambians have now been fully vaccinated against covid. With a total of 1,403,325 having received their first dose and 120,239 have received their booster shots.

Additionally, cases have been continually declining in the country.

 



President Hakainde Hichilema to deliver Keynote Address at Mining Indaba

President Hakainde Hichilema has joined with other heads of state and governments and around 6500 delegates at this year’s mining indaba in Cape Town.

The Indaba is an opportunity for Zambia to encourage investors in the country’s mining sector. 

The President will attend all four days at the Indaba to ensure that Zambia reaches its mining goals.
