FARMERS ACCESS GRANTS FROM CDF
In a step towards expanding the private sector, the government has increased access to Community Development Funds in the agricultural sector.
Mr Mwanakampwe has outlined that the access of funds for farmers represents a major shift in the provision of goods from the private sector.
By accessing such funds farmers will be able to increase the efficiency of their services, enhancing the private sector and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the production of goods.
PRESIDENT HICHILEMA RETURNS FROM RWANDA
President Hakainde Hichilema has returned from Rwanda where he took part in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
The member states met to discuss economic cooperation between other countries within the Commonwealth.
Before arriving in Rwanda the president had previously met EU representatives in Belgium where he gave a speech.
He received a standing ovation following the speech in which he described Zambia s being “back in business.”
SHEPOLOPOLO WINS TRAINING GAME
The Shepolopolo team comfortably dispatched Morocco in a training game played last Saturday in Marrakech.
The female team defeated the Morrocan side 6-0 in the pre-Women’s AFCON friendly.
Star players Avel Chitundu and Misozi Zulu both scored two goals each with Ochumba Oseke and Barbara Banda also getting on the scoreboard
