The PF’s Time For Losing Has Come – Kalaba
Democratic Party President Harry Kalaba has made a statement claiming that the PF are weaker than ever after President Lungu recreated the party.
Adding to circulating concerns around the amount of money the PF are spending for this election, whether it be classed as bribes or tactical spending to encourage voters, Kabala has said that throwing money at a problem won’t fix it.
He stated that the PF think “that they are going to become popular by using money…that method was tried in 1991. So many UNIP t-shirts were printed in 1991 and actually my own father (Simon Chisha Kalaba), even after five, six years after the 1991 elections, still had UNIP t-shirts in the house,”. The party were comprehensively beaten by the MMD.
Kabala demonstrates the stupidity of spending this money on votes when it could, instead, be spent more wisely to support issues that the country is facing.
“…they are giving out money but they are failing to provide medicine in Choma hospital. Anyway, you can buy the hand but you can’t buy the heart.”
As a result, Kabala is sure that the PF will lose the election, showing certainty that the population of Zambia are able to see the real reason behind this façade of tactical spending, especially when compared to the PF’s internal spending.
“the President bought a jet for himself and he didn’t mind about the poor people…We have teachers who have completed teaching courses but they haven’t been deployed. People have seen through all these hardships and they will teach the PF a lesson.”
