President Hichilema Encourages World Leaders To Intensify Efforts To Help Develop LDCs

During the fifth United Nations Conference on LDC held in Doha, Qatar, President Hakainde Hichilema urged world leaders to intensify their efforts in assisting Least Developed Countries (LDCs) to attain development.

He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in unlocking the potential of LDCs to serve both themselves and other countries.

President Hichilema, speaking on behalf of Zambia and other LDC countries, expressed the desire to ensure that their potential is fully utilized to pave the way for development.

He emphasized the need to engage all relevant stakeholders, including youths, vulnerable groups, and the private sector, in addressing the real issues hindering their progress.

The President stressed that a combination of solutions must be agreed upon, and partnerships must be fostered among LDC countries to enable them to move from their potential into prosperity.

He further assured Zambians that 2023 will be a year where key issues will be addressed, and encouraged world leaders to work together in tandem to support LDCs in their quest for development.
