Women’s national team set to face Ghana’s ‘Black Queens’

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has successfully secured a friendly fixture against Ghana’s ‘Black Queens’ this Saturday ahead of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. 

Announced through a press release by FAZ Communications Manager Desmond Katongo, the Shepolopolo are to set to face Ghana in Lusaka two weeks before the start of the tournament as part of their preparation for their opening fixture against Kenya on November 18th.

With a previous best of reaching the quarter-finals in 1995, the Women’s will be looking for a strong tournament after going out in the group stages in 2014.

The game will take place at the Nkoloma stadium on November 3rd at 15:30 GMT.
