Ramaphosa urges Springboks to 'annihilate' the Lions

South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa has departed for Japan to attend the rugby World Cup final between the Springboks and the Lions of England.

In a video shared by the presidency's Twitter account before he boarded the plane, he said "it was South Africa's time" and urged the players to "annihilate England":

Quote Message: I am quite excited. I am going to meet our rugby team and I am looking forward to going to see them in their camp and give them a lot of encouragement from 57 million South Africans who are standing behind them and wishing them the very best in their titanic battle with the English. "

Quote Message: And I am hoping we would be able to defeat and annihilate the English and bring back the cup home. South Africa's moment has arrived and South Africans must be patriotic and firmly behind the team."
