Patson Chases Golden Boot
Red Bull Salzburg striker Patson Daka added another goal to his season tally on Sunday during a spellbinding performance against Lask FC, bringing his total to six goals in four games since the Bundesliga resumed four weeks ago.
The Chipolopolo forward has now scored 23 goals in 25 matches, putting him on track for the coveted golden boot award - the prize presented to the player with the most season goals in the German-Austrian league. Previous winners include Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski and Borussia Dortmund youngster Jadon Sancho.
Daka’s appearance on Sunday resulted in a resounding 3-1 victory over Lask FC, with Daka being substituted six minutes before full time.
The 21-year-old is reportedly being scouted by major European clubs due to his impressive strike rate.
Fellow Zambian Enock Mwepu also played against Lask on Sunday, completing the match and forming an integral part of the Red Bull’s midfield.
