FAZ, Ministry Of Sports Plan Rehabilitation of Provincial Stadia
The Ministry of Sports and the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) have signed a Memorandum of Agreement concerning plans to rehabilitate stadia across the country.
The event was officiated by Minister of Sports Emmanuel Muleng, with FAZ President Andrew Kamanga leading the delegation from Football House.
Through the FIFA support program FAZ has identified a total of five stadia across four provinces that will be rehabilitated as part of the first phase.
The stadia are as follows: Kaole (Luapula), Maramba (Southern), David Kaunda (Eastern), Kasama (Northern) and Independence (North Western).
FIFA is funding the development and the project is aimed at accelerating the targets of the 10 year strategic plan set out by Kamanga and his team
With upgraded provincial infrastructure some of the national team matches involving junior teams and women can be extended to the provincial stadia.
