Red Arrows Open 7 Point Lead in National Rugby League.

The defending champions, Lusaka’s Red Arrows, have opened up a comfortable lead at the top of the National Rugby League following their latest victory at the weekend. 

The Arrows secured a convincing win against Nkwazi (score: 28-3) in the Week 11 match in Lusaka, leaving them 7 points ahead of their closest competitors the Mufulira Leopards who are on 35 points after nine games.  

Arrows tries were scored by Edmond Himayuwa, Alex Mwewa, Birthrock Sikaona and Gift Kabungo, while Terry Kaushiku made four conversions. The team were granted a bonus point for scoring four tries. 

Nkwazi scored a penalty through Butemwe Koloko.

Meanwhile, in the Kitwe the tense game between KPF and Diggers, saw KPF take the win with a score of 20-13.

Tatenda Kasorota and Mulimbika Mwale scored tries for KPF and veteran Benaya Mukwamba kicked a conversion and later a penalty.

Diggers scored a try through Ben Chilupula, which was converted by Stephen Hunduza, who also scored two penalties. 

KPF are number four on 21 points and Diggers remain second from the last with 10 points from 11 games played.
