ZAMBIAN BUSINESS WOMAN, MIZINGA MELU, AWARDED MOST INFLUENTIAL AFRICAN WOMAN BANKER OF THE YEAR

 Mizinga Melu, Absa Bank Zambia PLC Managing Director, has been awarded the Most Influential African Woman Banker of the Year award at the Africa Bank 4.0 Awards.

 The awards are bestowed through a voting system where members across the African banking sector allocate their votes to a specific person. Mrs Melu won the most votes in her category.

 Mrs Melu said that she was “honoured to receive this award.”

 The ceremony took place in Nairobi, Kenya last night.  

 

GOVERNMENT OUTLINES COMMITMENT TO SUPPORTING BUSINESSES AMIDST PRICE RISES

 Elias Mubanga, Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises, has thanked Capricorn Fertiliser Limited for maintaining a low price for their fertiliser.

 He said that his ministry was dedicated to making sure all enterprises were able to buy fertiliser at a good price and also outlined his commitment to helping firms keep the cost of their fertiliser low.

 He said that this will help firms to scale up their production aiding economic growth in Zambia

 

PRESIDENT HH APPOINTED GLOBAL CHOLERA CONTROL CHAMPION BY GFTCC

 President Hakainde Hichilema has accepted the role of Global Cholera Control Champion.

 The role was appointed by the Global Task Force on Cholera Control (GFTCC).
