USAID APPLAUDS ZAMBIA FOR VACCINATION DRIVE
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has stated that they are impressed with the Zambian Covid-19 vaccination programme.
Jeremy Konyndyk, USAID Covid-19 Taskforce Executive Director, was visiting Zambia when he made the comments.
He said that Zambia could soon become a model example for the rest of Africa.
IDE LAUNCHES 7.8 MILLION DOLLAR PROJECT IN ZAMBIA
The International Development Enterprise has launched 7.8 million Canadian dollar project.
The project has been ‘Her Time To Grow’ and plans to empower 10 thousand women in agriculture in Zambia.
Mtolo Phiri, Agriculture Minister, has welcomed the programme and described that she is excited to see the transformation in the production of agricultural produce.
BANDA LEFT OFF TEAM FOR AFCON 2022
Barbra Banda, the China-based Zambian striker, has been removed from the provisional squad ahead of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup.
The reason for her absence is unknown but it has raised questions regarding the player’s status in women’s football.
The games are due to take place in July this year with Zambia set to face Cameroon, Tunisia and Togo in the first round.
