900,000 Covid-19 Vaccines Have Arrived From Canada

In a step to curb covid-19 infections, the New Dawn Government has welcomed over 900,000 Canadian vaccines into the country today.

The first shipment included 4.5 million doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine donated from Canada through the COVAX initiative.

The mission has been coordinated by UNICEF with complete support from the government.

Lackson Kasonka, Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary for Technical Services, explained his optimism for the vaccines as a method to curb infections.

He stated that the delivery will help the government meet their commitment to vaccinate 70% of the eligible population by the end of the year.

Meanwhile, Pamela O’Donnell praised Zambia’s goal to vaccinate this level of the population. She said that Canada was proud to support the government in achieving such a goal.
