ZAMBIA COMMENDED BY ITALY

The Italian Ambassador to Zambia, Antonino Maggiore has praised the New Dawn Government for continuing the long-lasting relationship between Italy and Zambia.

Further, he outlined his optimism that the warm relationship shall continue through enhanced bilateral relations.

The announcement comes as a further 5,000 vaccines arrived in Zambia donated from Italy.

 

HALF OF CDF FUNDS RELEASED

Today the Ministry of Finance and National Planning outlined that K1.3 billion has been released through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

The funds so far have been used as a social cash transfer programme, food security pack, and to help purchase medical supplies including medications.

The news marks a positive step forward in the New Dawn Government committing to their manifesto promises and working to provide economic prosperity and a social safety net to all Zambians.

 

ZAMBIA PRAISED FOR REDUCTION IN CHILD MARRIAGES AND GBV

The Minister of Gender for Malawi, Agness Nkhoma, has praised the New Dawn Government for their hard work in reducing the number of child marriages and cases of  Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

She described the progress of the government as remarkable but both issues remain a threat and work should continue to ensure that both women and men can equally thrive socially and economically.
