AFRICA PARKS TO RUN KAFUE NATIONAL PARK
The government of Zambia and Africa Parks have announced that the company will take over the running of Kafue National Park.
According to the new statement, Africa Parks will take over the area for 20 years and will deliver greater investment and enhance the biodiversity of the park.
The park is one of the largest in Africa.
PRESIDENT SPEAKS AT TRADE FAIR
President Hakainde Hichilema has spoken at the Zambia Trade Fair.
In his speech, he highlighted the importance of easing congestion at Kasumbalesa.
Further, the president applauded business in the Copperbelt and asked businesses to ensure they remain affable with the neighbouring DRC.
He also outlined that the trade convention should be used to centre all trade and investment within the country.
ZAMBIA’S WOMEN’S TEAM CAPTAIN RULED OUT OF AFCON
On Friday, Captain Barbra Banda was forced to be removed from the competition due to medical reasons.
The striker was due to be the star of the team following last year’s Olympics where she scored back-to-back hat-tricks.
The news comes only days before the team were set to play Cameroon on Sunday where they were defeated 2-1.
