HONEYBEE WITHDRAWS LAWSUIT AGAINST ZAMBIAN GOVERNMENT

Honeybee Pharmacy Limited has withdrawn its US$17 million lawsuits against the Zambian Government.

The legal matter stems from the supply by the pharmaceutical company of defective drugs, condoms and gloves to the Ministry of Health in 2020.

According to the notice of discontinuance given to the court, the company has outlined that it would prefer to handle the matter outside of court.

 

REFUGEES THANK THE ZAMBIAN GOVERNMENT FOR THEIR SUPPORT

Refugees based in Zambia have praised the New Dawn Government for their support following the signing of the African Union Convention for Refugees Act 1 in 2017.

The Rwandan Refugee Association Coordinator, Innocent Rukundo, thanked the government for abiding by the international regulations which ensure the safety of thousands of refugees.

He specifically thanked the government for offering refugees education and freedom to choose where they studied outlining that having the option was immensely helpful.

 

GOVERNMENT TO BUILD MODERN HOSPITAL IN KAPIRI

Stanley Kakubo, Foreign Affairs Minister, has announced that the government will build a modern hospital in Kapiri Mposhi.

The announcement came as he donated 600 blankets to the district health management team at the Urban Clinic in the area and the District Hospital.

The news reflects the New Dawn Government’s commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare to the nation.
