New Dawn Government signs €10 million joint venture deal with European Software Company
The New Dawn government has signed an MoU with ASSECO to set up a €10 million joint venture company to improve the operations of ZAMPOST.
ASSECO is Europe’s sixth-biggest software company and the deal represents a major step forward in improving the digitalisation of Zambia’s economy.
Felix Mutati, Minister of Science and Technology, has outlined that the MoU is just the beginning of the transformation at ZAMPOST with more opportunities in e-Banking and e-commence imminent.
Teachers to be deployed to rural areas
Daphne Chimuka, Teaching Service Commission of Zambia chairperson, has announced that the commission will plan to send more teachers to rural communities in Zambia.
The exercise will increase the number of teachers in rural schools, thus improving education in these areas.
Vice President Announces Positive Changes to EU-Zambia Partnership
Mutale Nalumango, Vice President, has described the last few days of the EU-Zambia forum as successful.
She outlined that the meetings offered an opportunity to Zambia and will change the country’s economic landscape.
The vice president also described how the Forums should be used as a springboard to strengthen and remodel longstanding trade and investment relations between Zambia and the EU.
