ZAMBIA TO HOLD FIRST MEETING WITH INTERNATIONAL CREDITORS

Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane, Finance Minister, has said that Zambia will hold its first meeting with international creditors tomorrow.

In a media briefing yesterday the Minister stated, “We are one step closer to debt resolution because those discussions are beginning this Thursday.”

France and China are the co-chairs of the creditor committee, which will look at restructuring Zambia’s external debt.

 

NEW DAWN GOVERNMENT TO EASE BUSINESS BOTTLENECKS

President Hichilema has stated that he and the New Dawn Government are working to ease any bottlenecks that are constraining business growth in Zambia.

The president called on investors to create stable relationships with Zambian businesses.

He also reiterated the government’s commitment to attracting high-quality investment into Zambia to better the lives of its citizens through economic prosperity.

 

CHAIWA JOINS SWISS CLUB YOUNG BOYS

Miguel Chaiwa, Zambia midfielder, has signed a long-term contract with the Swiss club Young Boys.

The club confirmed the deal yesterday, explaining the midfielder had signed a 5-year contract. 

He is the second Chipolopolo player to sign with the club following Emmanuel Mayuka who was with the Young Boys for three seasons.
