PRESIDENT HICHILEMA POSITIVE ABOUT DEBT RESTRUCTURING

President Hakainde Hichilema is positive that Zambia will be able to sign a new debt restructuring agreement in the next few days.

He said that his confidence follows a meeting he had with creditors earlier this week.

He explained that China, alongside other creditors, are set to announce the restructuring programme in the coming days.

 

KAFUE RIVER HAS THE POTENTIAL TO GENERATE POWER- PRESIDENT HICHILEMA 

President Hakainde Hichilema has asked that the Kafue River be used to generate more power.

Following a guided tour of the Kafue Gorge Lower Hydro Power Plant in the Chikankata district, he said that the river should be producing more power.

Additionally, he praised the Zambian and Chinese partnership that led to the completion of the power plant.

Time Magazine has ranked the lower Zambezi as one of the world’s greatest sights to visit in 2022.

The ranking is decided by an international network of correspondents and contributors.

Other destinations included the Galapagos Islands, Kerala in India and Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe.
